Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an ambitious Electrical Design Engineer to accelerate their career in London’s fast-growing M&E consultancy scene.

You will deliver high-quality electrical building services designs from concept through to completion, working with clients, architects and the engineering team. The role focuses on Data Centres and other sectors, with opportunities to mentor peers and lead projects.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience as an Electrical Design Engineer in a Building Services consultancy.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience with Data Centres.
• Proficient in Amtech, Dialux and AutoCAD, with Revit knowledge desirable.
• Strong communication skills for client and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical building services systems across Data Centres, Commercial, Residential and Education.
• Produce electrical calculations, specifications and technical reports.
• Coordinate designs with mechanical engineers and architects using BIM/Revit.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and design team meetings.
• Support project delivery through RIBA stages.
• Ensure designs comply with British Standards and Building Regulations.
