Job summary

Uneek Global is seeking a Principal Engineer to join our London office, leading electrical design across data centre projects from concept through to completion.

You will oversee design delivery, coordinate with junior engineers, and ensure compliance with global electrical regulations while mentoring the team and acting as a senior client contact.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Extensive experience in electrical design for data centre projects.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of national and international electrical regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of electrical design across all project phases: preliminary studies, conceptual design, basic design and detailed design.
• Design and develop electrical systems for data centres, in line with international regulations and quality standards.
• Supervise electrical drawings produced in AutoCAD and review output from junior team members.
• Prepare and supervise technical documentation including reports, measurements, drawings and specifications.
• Identify project risks and propose corrective and preventive measures.
• Visualise and interpret models in Revit, with coordination and clash detection in Navisworks.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers within the team.
• Act as a senior point of contact for clients on technical matters.

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing MEP and data centre engineering consultancy, delivering electrical design across data centre and technology building projects throughout Europe

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Principal Engineer to join their London office, leading the design, development and supervision of Data Centre projects from concept through to completion

What You Will Be Doing

• Leading the development of electrical design across all project phases: preliminary studies, conceptual design, basic design and detailed design
• Design and development of electrical systems for Data Centres, in compliance with international regulations and quality standards
• Overseeing electrical drawings produced in AutoCAD and reviewing output from junior team members
