Job summary

Resourgenix is seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design and technical delivery of large-scale data centre projects in London. You will drive concept through commissioning, ensuring quality, regulatory compliance and design excellence while guiding a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a Chartered Engineer with 10–15 years in consultancy, strong client leadership and a track record of delivering Tier III/IV facilities across international markets.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Chartered Engineer status through IET or equivalent.
• 10-15 years' consultancy experience.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale data centre and mission-critical projects.
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing technical delivery.
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management.
• Experience within an international engineering consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of UK regulatory requirements and experience working with UK clients.
• Experience with Tier III / Tier IV data centre projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and technical delivery of data centre and mission-critical projects.
• Provide technical governance across design, reviews and construction stages.
• Mentor Senior, Intermediate and Associate Engineers.
• Lead workshops, design reviews and client meetings.
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural, architectural and specialist disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with UK standards, BS 7671 and international guidance.
