Job summary

Amey is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead Building Services design within our Consulting Built Environment team. You will conduct condition surveys, feasibility studies, develop scopes with clients, and oversee sub-consultants with site inspections during construction.

You will engage with senior stakeholders across sectors including MOD, NHS and Local Authorities, manage design interfaces, risk and costs, and mentor junior staff, supported by flexible hybrid working from multiple UK

Qualifications

• Experience in design and specification processes with leadership of design teams.
• Proven ability to check and approve drawings, calculations and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV, lighting, power, life-safety, IT and security systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead on Building Services design and supervise junior staff.
• Manage delivery of electrical elements on multidisciplinary projects.
• Prepare and check designs, calculations and documentation to meet quality and cost objectives.
• Engage with clients and suppliers at senior level and support bid submissions.
• Oversee risks, CDM responsibilities and project interfaces.
