Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an Education & Learning Officer to manage and deliver patient education within the hospital's Patient Learning Centre. You will plan accredited programmes, engage patients, and ensure alignment with the learning strategy.

You will support staff and volunteers, supervise activities, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver learning across the Skye Centre and hospital hubs. A relevant teaching qualification and ICDL are desirable.

Qualifications

• Educated to HND level or equivalent with adult education experience.
• Qualification in education/training (e.g. PGCE, TQFE, CITP) or assessor unit.
• Experience delivering adult education, ICT, literacy and numeracy.
• ICDL or equivalent IT skills; supervisory ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of core skills and education programmes per strategy.
• Develop and plan accredited learning programmes to support curriculum expansion.
• Supervise instructors and volunteers in learning activities at the Patient Learning Centre.
