Job summary

DRVN Automotive Group is seeking a Lead EDS Design & Integration Engineer for our Coventry site. The role focuses on leading electrical design across vehicle systems, from topology to validation, within an advanced automotive engineering environment.

You will collaborate with powertrain, chassis and software teams to ensure robust integration, oversee lab cars, HiL setups and test rigs, and drive DFMEA, DVP and change control processes. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent proven experience.
• Proven experience the whole EDS development life cycle from system requirements through to production.
• Experience in whole vehicle electrical systems testing, commissioning and homologation.

Responsibilities

• Manage vehicle-level topology, electrical schematics, connector selection, and terminal sizing according to DRVN Engineering standards.
• Develop low-voltage wiring harnesses, 2D schematics, and support the CAD EE Team in optimizing 3D packaging paths.
• Own the electrical system design requirements, functions and performance and ensure they are tested and validated throughout the development life cycle of the vehicle.
• Collaborate with powertrain, body, chassis, and software teams to ensure seamless electrical integration across all systems.
• Support system review, verification & validation activities including FMEAs, FuSa, test planning and functionality reviews throughout the development lifecycle.
• Lead in the planning and overseeing the building of lab cars, HiL and test rigs for development, testing and validation.
• Support in the develop test and validation procedures and specifications
• Be the EE representative in meetings with customers, suppliers, managers and other section leaders and engineers
• Any DFMEAs, DVPs and Quality Concern Resolution are implemented and met
• Participate in resolving any design/manufacturing issues when identified
