Job summary

Quantum Motion in London, UK, is seeking a Principal EDA Engineer to lead the IC Engineering team's EDA activities, focusing on deep-cryogenic CMOS ASIC design for quantum hardware. You will own the design environments, mentor engineers, and drive tape-out quality using Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre, and Keysight ADS within a hybrid flow.

You'll collaborate with design, layout, and foundry partners to deliver scalable quantum ICs, develop automation scripts, and resolve complex EDA issues, enabling

Qualifications

• 15y+ of experience delivering CMOS ASICs in advanced PDKs.
• Solid understanding of fabrication deliveries and sign-off criteria with foundry interfacing.
• Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso, Siemens Calibre and Keysight ADS.
• Scripting ability in Python, Bash and Perl.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain all EDA environments within the company.
• Manage the EDA team resources across multiple projects and teams.
• Work with design and layout engineers in tape-out flow ensuring GDS quality.
• Interface with foundry for ASIC fabrication flows.
• Support design teams with tool usage and workflows.
• Develop scripts to automate and improve design processes.
• Debug EDA issues including raising tickets with tool vendors.
