Quantum Motion in London, UK, is seeking a Principal EDA Engineer to lead the IC Engineering team's EDA activities, focusing on deep-cryogenic CMOS ASIC design for quantum hardware. You will own the design environments, mentor engineers, and drive tape-out quality using Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre, and Keysight ADS within a hybrid flow.
You'll collaborate with design, layout, and foundry partners to deliver scalable quantum ICs, develop automation scripts, and resolve complex EDA issues, enabling
Principal EDA Engineer at Quantum Motion, London, UK. A lead-level full time position in the IC Engineering team, listed under hardware engineering.
The IC Team is responsible for the design and test of the integrated circuits which operate at deep-cryogenic temperatures and interact with the qubits. This role is a unique chance to work at the bleeding edge of technology development, developing new innovative circuits to tackle the engineering challenge of implementing a large scale quantum computer in silicon. You will be a key part of a multidisciplinary team, and will be involved in all the aspects of IC design cycle from initial concept to volume production. As a Principal EDA Engineer y ou will be supporting design teams primarily working with a design flow. It’s an analogue flow using commercial PDK’s but with internally developed add-ons to customize processes. You’ll work alongside other EDA support engineers, as the eams grow and expand their remit. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to be an early employee at a start-up shaping the future of quantum computing. There are vast opportunities for professional growth and to make an impact within the company.
