Job summary

Brook Street is recruiting for a 2 bedded Children’s EBD Home in Manchester (Walkden) to lead and manage a dedicated team. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to deliver high-quality care for children with physical, social and emotional needs in a warm, home-like setting.

You will oversee daily operations, implement care plans, support admissions, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Care and DBS considerations are essential/desirable.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Care is essential.
• DBS check (Enhanced) desirable.
• Experience leading a care team in a children's setting.

Responsibilities

• Work with Registered Manager to plan, organise and manage day-to-day operations.
• Support care plans to encourage growth and independence for children.
• Ensure smooth admissions in line with policies and procedures.
• Lead Senior and Residential Practitioners to run the home confidently and safely.
• Maintain staffing levels and communicate effectively across the team.
• Identify training needs and ensure staff meet home requirements.
• Support new staff induction and be on-call for emergencies.
• Build relationships with referring agencies and participate in meetings.
