Job summary

Dynatrace is seeking an experienced Lead Site Reliability Engineer / Observability Engineer to join a major technology programme in Watford. This role demands deep Dynatrace expertise, ownership from implementation through production, and acting as a technical SME in complex environments.

You will design end-to-end observability solutions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). A strong SRE background and CI/CD experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Deep Dynatrace implementation and administration experience.
• Experience designing and implementing end-to-end observability solutions.
• Strong SRE and production engineering background.
• Experience configuring instrumentation, metrics, alerting and monitoring.
• Understanding of OneAgent, ActiveGate, distributed tracing and application/infrastructure monitoring.
• Experience troubleshooting complex production issues using observability tooling.
• Cloud experience across AWS, Azure and/or GCP.
• Exposure to CI/CD, automation and modern software delivery.
• Kubernetes/containerisation experience beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to operate as a technical lead/SME, mentoring other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead SRE and observability engineering across large-scale environments.
• Own Dynatrace implementation, configuration and ongoing maintenance as a technical SME.
• Design and implement end-to-end observability solutions.
• Mentor and collaborate with other engineers across teams.
• Support production troubleshooting and proactive monitoring initiatives.
