Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc in Sherburn-in-Elmet is seeking a Driver Training Manager to lead a team of professional drivers, deliver CPC programmes, and uphold compliance across a busy UK logistics operation.

You will collaborate with Transport, Health & Safety, HR and customers to drive safety culture, monitor performance, maintain training records, and support regulatory excellence. Full-time on-site role with Monday–Friday shifts plus evenings; salary up to £42,745 plus £3,000 night shift premium.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering driver training within a transport or logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of Driver CPC, Drivers' Hours, Working Time Regulations, and transport compliance requirements.
• Full UK Category C+E driving licence, with excellent communication, coaching, and organisational skills.
• Passionate about developing people, improving safety standards, and driving high performance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging driver inductions, assessments, training, and Driver CPC programmes to develop and maintain a high-performing driving team
• Ensure full compliance with Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive, DVSA regulations, and Operator Licence requirements
• Monitor driver performance, identify development opportunities, and provide coaching to continuously improve safety and operational standards
• Maintain accurate training and compliance records, produce performance KPIs, and support reporting requirements
• Partner with Transport, Health & Safety, HR, and customer teams to drive continuous improvement, investigate incidents, and implement corrective training solutions
