Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking a Driver Training Manager to lead a team of professional drivers at our Sherburn-in-Elmet site. You will design and deliver training programmes, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a strong safety culture across a busy logistics operation.

The role is on-site, full-time with Monday–Friday hours and occasional flex between 16:00–00:00 and 18:00–02:00. Salary up to £42,745.17 plus a £3,000 night shift premium and benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering driver training within a transport or logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of Driver CPC and Working Time Regulations.
• Full UK Category C+E driving licence.
• Passionate about developing people and improving safety standards.
• Teaching or Driver CPC Instructor qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver driver inductions, assessments, training and Driver CPC programmes to develop and maintain a high-performing driving team.
• Ensure full compliance with Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive, DVSA regulations, and Operator Licence requirements.
• Monitor driver performance, identify development opportunities, and provide coaching to improve safety and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate training and compliance records, produce performance KPIs, and support reporting requirements.
• Partner with Transport, Health & Safety, HR, and customer teams to drive continuous improvement and implement corrective training.
