Job summary

Recruit 12 is seeking a DCM Setting Team Leader to lead and develop the die casting setting team, driving safe, efficient and consistent manufacturing performance within a high‑volume automotive production environment.

The role focuses on coaching, mentoring and performance support, ensuring HSE compliance and leading improvements across die‑casting operations to optimise run-up, efficiency and right‑first‑time production.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Die Casting Machine (DCM) setting activities.
• Experience coaching, mentoring and developing team members.
• Strong understanding of die-casting processes and parameter management.
• Basic knowledge of high‑pressure die‑casting (HPDC) die design.
• Experience implementing process changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience with process auditing and maintaining manufacturing standards.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with root‑cause analysis techniques.
• Project management experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the die casting setting team, improving operational performance and ensuring processes are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
• Develop the DCM Setting team through coaching, mentoring and performance support.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies across the department.
• Manage day‑to‑day die‑casting setting activities to achieve safe, efficient and consistent production.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency and process stability.
• Lead run‑up activities after die changes, identifying improvement opportunities and reducing start‑up times.
• Support cross‑functional improvement projects with focus on key production performance metrics.
• Work with engineering, quality, production and maintenance teams to identify and resolve process issues.
• Improve right‑first‑time performance through effective problem solving.
• Collect, analyse and report process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
