Job summary

Recruit 12 is seeking a DCM Setting Team Leader to guide a die casting setting team in a high-volume automotive production context. You will lead, coach and develop the team while ensuring safe, efficient operations and adherence to quality standards.

You will drive improvements, mentor staff, coordinate with engineering and maintenance, and analyse process data to deliver reliable performance and optimal startup times in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Die Casting Machine (DCM) setting activities.
• Experience coaching, mentoring and developing team members.
• Strong understanding of die casting processes and parameter management.
• Basic knowledge of HPDC die design.
• Experience implementing process changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience with process auditing and maintaining manufacturing standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills with root cause analysis techniques.
• Project management experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the DCM setting team, coaching and supporting performance.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies across the department.
• Manage day-to-day die casting setting activities for safe, efficient production.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency and stability.
• Lead run-up activities after die changes, identify improvements and reduce start-up times.
• Support cross-functional improvement projects targeting key production metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, production and maintenance to resolve issues.
• Facilitate improvements in right-first-time performance through problem solving.
• Collect, analyse and report process data to identify trends and opportunities.
