Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Highly Specialist Adult Diabetes Nurse (Clinical Lead) Band 8a for a 9-month secondment. You will provide clinical leadership and expert diabetes care across the service, shaping education, quality improvement and innovative care models.

The post holder will work autonomously to assess, diagnose and manage complex diabetes needs, guiding a multi-disciplinary team and driving service development and better patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration or HCPC/GPhC as applicable.
• MSc in relevant specialism or Level 7 equivalent; NHSE e-Portfolio Route.
• Evidence of ongoing advanced clinical professional development in diabetes care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced assessment, diagnosis and treatment for diabetes patients.
• Provide expert clinical decision-making and specialist advice to the MDT.
• Lead service improvement, quality improvement, audit and research activities.
• Develop and deliver education and training for healthcare professionals.
• Contribute to operational and strategic development of the diabetes service.
• Collaborate across organisational boundaries to improve patient care.
