Job summary

Experis - ManpowerGroup is seeking a DV-cleared DevSecOps Engineer to lead and deliver DevSecOps solutions onsite in Basingstoke. The role focuses on building CI/CD pipelines, writing automation scripts (Ansible) and IaC (Terraform) with strong security engineering practices.

You will mentor engineers, work with the DevSecOps lead and product teams to align roadmaps with security and business outcomes, and drive secure, automated build/test processes on a 6-month contract basis.

Qualifications

• DV clearance required.
• Experience leading DevSecOps delivery within an Agile/sprint lifecycle.
• Hands-on with automation scripts and IaC artefacts.

Job Title: DV Cleared DevSecOps Engineer
Location: Basingstoke (Onsite)
Rate: Up to £500 per day via an approved umbrella company
Contract Length: 6 months with possible extension
Security Clearance: Active DV Clearance required

We are seeking a DevSecOps Lead Engineer to join a high profile programme, reporting into (and supporting) the DevSecOps Tech Lead.

The role will own significant parts of the solution, develop automation scripts, write Build Automation scripts (Ansible) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and configure and build CI/CD pipelines. You will advise on the use of DevOps Tooling, best practices and secure engineering processes, whilst working with the DevOps delivery team to understand roadmap and processes.

Working closely with the DevSecOps Tech Lead (MSL), Managed Service Teams and Engineering Process Lead, you will drive the usage and implementation of DevOps tooling to facilitate secure build and test automation

You will develop and document re-usable automation scripts and IaC artefacts to assist various teams on the project in their deliveries, whilst acting as an evangelist and advisor on the use of DevOps tools and Automation technologies

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the significant aspects of the technical implementation, delivery and assurance of the DevSecOps tooling, associated processed and ways of working
• Leading Technical Implementation and design activities, making Design decisions and assessing options
• Advising on use of DevSecOps technologies and processes, to senior customers
• Works with DevSecOps Tech Lead (MSL), Product Owners and Scrum Master to define/prioritise work and raise Risks/Dependencies
• Works with DevSecOps Tech Lead (MSL) to ensure the DevSecOps implementation satisfies its requirements and ensuring it aligns to the Business Outcomes and security needs
• Mentoring junior engineers and making implementation decisions
• Contribution to Planning the work for the team
• Reporting on progress and tracking this with Solution Owner
• Defines Support Approach working with Service/Support Team
• Engages with other teams on the usage of the tooling and dependency management

Required Experience:

• Leading engineers to drive Scrum teams' adoption of the DevOps toolchain
• Development of automation scripts
• Writing Build Automation scripts (Ansible)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Configuring and building CI/CD pipelines
• Advising on use of DevOps Tooling, best practices and secure engineering processes
• Working with DevOps delivery teams to understand roadmap and processes
• Working with customers to ensure that DevOps adoption is aligned to Engineering process
• Experienced at working in an Agile, sprint-based lifecycle
• Experienced with both Windows and Linux operating systems
• Developing and documenting re-usable automation scripts and IaC artefacts
• Driving the usage and implementation of DevOps tooling to facilitate secure build and test automation
• Acting as an evangelist and advisor on the use of DevOps tools and Automation technologies
