Job summary

DWP Digital is hiring a Lead DevOps Engineer (Azure) to lead DevOps practices across the Debt Services Department. You will build a DevOps culture, mentor engineers, and shape standards for enterprise-level cloud workloads.

You will work in agile teams delivering Azure-based debt management and recovery systems, with regular travel to UK hubs. A valid Security Check and three of the last five years' UK residence are required.

Qualifications

• Pass Security Check clearance and be eligible to work in the UK.
• Must have resided continuously in the UK for at least 3 of the last 5 years, 2 of which immediately preceding the application.

Responsibilities

• Define and refine engineering standards across the organisation.
• Drive a culture of ownership for infrastructure alongside software development.
• Create capability through training opportunities and practice alignment.
• Ensure digital services adhere to standards and best practices.
• Recruitment within the DevOps community and alignment with senior leadership.
• Mentor and support engineers and trainee DevOps engineers.
