Job summary

London Stock Exchange is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to own the cloud infrastructure, delivery platforms, and operational capabilities. You will stay hands-on across architecture, deployment, observability, and incident response while driving reliability and security improvements.

You will operate with autonomy, guide engineers, and influence architectural decisions across teams. Strong skills in Python/Go, IaC, and cloud platforms are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience building scalable cloud infrastructure and platforms.
• Strong hands-on DevOps with lifecycle ownership from architecture to deployment.
• Proven ability to lead architecture decisions and improve reliability and security.
• Experience with CI/CD, IaC, release automation, and environment management.
• Experience with AI/ML productionization workflows.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration with software, data science, security, and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction of cloud infrastructure and delivery platforms.
• Lead architecture decisions and establish reusable engineering patterns.
• Design, build and operate secure, observable, and scalable platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, IaC, testing, release controls, and environment management.
• Productionize AI solutions with scalable, reliable services.
• Provide technical guidance through reviews, pairing, and hands-on problem solving.
