Job summary
MGI Engineering Ltd is seeking a Design Engineer to join a fast‑paced engineering team delivering cutting edge solutions for aerospace, automotive, motorsport and marine sectors. Based in Witney, Oxfordshire, the role focuses on design and CAD modelling of composite and metallic components and interaction with Aerodynamics and Stress teams to ensure structural integrity.
The ideal candidate will have an HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, 4+ years of relevant experience, and strong
Qualifications
- Educated to minimum HND level in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 4 years of relevant industrial experience.
- Strong CAD modelling skills in NX or Catia; experience with composites and metallic components.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas across audiences; fluent English.
Responsibilities
- Design and CAD modelling of composite and metallic components.
- Analyse and interpret customer requirements.
- Prepare detail designs and laminate books.
- Collaborate with Aerodynamic and Stress teams to ensure integrity of concepts.
- Lead and mentor junior designers; support testing and verification.
