Job summary

Tech Connect Group is partnering with a leading high-performance composites business launching a new advanced technologies division for aerospace and defence. We seek an experienced Design Engineer to tackle long-term, complex composite design work and contribute to founding the engineering team.

The role spans aerospace/defence and occasional motorsport projects; CATIA V5 (NX) proficiency is required. Applicants in the UK only; no sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Composite Materials Science experience.
• R&D background in F1, Aerospace, Defence or similar.
• Ability to lead the more technical side of design work.
• Composites experience a strong advantage, but not essential for the right engineer.
• Design pedigree and capability are the priority.
• CATIA V5 proficiency required; NX also considered.

The opportunity

TCG is partnering exclusively with a leading high-performance composites business that has recently launched a new advanced technologies division focused on aerospace and defence programmes. The new division is founding it's engineering team, and is developing its own proprietary materials and deep-tech engineering IP.

We're recruiting an experienced Design Engineer for the more senior, technical end of the team. The focus is longer-term, complex aerospace and defence design work. The wider environment also spans motorsport, so there may be occasions where you turn your hand to faster-paced projects.

The role

• Own the more technical side of design on longer-term aerospace and defence programmes
• Work across complex composite design and development
• Contribute to a founding engineering team and help shape how the function is built
• Flex into faster-paced motorsport projects when required

What we're looking for

• Composite Materials Science experience
