Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation, Christchurch facility, seeks a Lead Design Engineer to drive mechanical design of solenoid and sensor products for aerospace applications. You will lead design reviews, influence manufacturing decisions and mentor project teams in a hybrid work environment.

The role requires a degree or equivalent in engineering, 10+ years in aerospace design, NPI experience, and proficiency with SolidWorks, BS8888 and tolerance analysis. UK citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical designs for Solenoid and Sensor products using SolidWorks.
• Author, check and approve testing procedures and reports.
• Support operations with manufacturing/quality issues and approve dispositions of non-conformances and engineering change requests.
• Identify risks and lead mitigation activities via analysis or testing.
• Generate and check/approve manufacturing drawings with BS8888, GDT and tolerance analysis.

Here, we design and manufacture flight critical parts for Commercial and Military aircraft and this is your chance to join us as we grow. In this role you will be working in the design engineering team, supporting production, resolving obsolescence and re-introduction of legacy sensors and solenoid products for commercial and military Aerospace applications.
