Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a Lead Data Security Engineer to define the security North Star for a cloud-native platform serving millions of users. You will translate complex risks into scalable defense strategies and partner with data teams to protect data without hindering innovation.

You'll build automated security controls, embed security into CI/CD, and guide encryption, masking, and data governance across multiple cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data security controls experience (DSPM, DLP, data classification, encryption, or access governance).
• Strong automation and scripting skills with working code and IaC.
• Experience embedding automated security checks into CI/CD pipelines with developers and data engineers.
• Practical cloud data security experience, including object storage security.
• Solid GDPR understanding and responsible handling of sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Partner with data teams to understand data handling and risk profiles.
• Build secure data solutions with data teams through collaborative engineering.
• Identify recurring issue patterns and fix systemic vulnerabilities.
• Design, build, and maintain automated workflows to detect data security risks at scale.
• Deploy continuous monitoring, guardrails, and auto-remediation across cloud environments.
• Engineer CI/CD gates and infrastructure-as-code baselines to stop data leaks.
• Support encryption, masking, data discovery, classification, and access governance.
• Secure AI pipelines by guarding prompts and tracking data lineage.
