Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a Lead Data Security Engineer to define the technical security North Star for our data platform, guiding scalable, proactive defenses across cloud environments. You will partner with data teams to embed security into the development lifecycle, enabling growth without compromising safety.

In this role you’ll drive encryption, data discovery, classification, access governance, and secure LLM/AI pipelines while maintaining a Security-as-Code mindset and prioritising

Qualifications

• Hands-on data security experience with controls (DSPM, DLP, data classification, encryption, access governance).
• Strong automation, scripting, and ability to translate security goals into working code and IaC.
• Experience embedding automated security checks into CI/CD pipelines with developers and data engineers.
• Practical cloud data security experience, including object storage security and GDPR considerations.

Responsibilities

• Define North Star for security at JET and translate risks into scalable defense strategies.
• Partner with data teams to build secure solutions and avoid slowing development.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated workflows to detect and fix security risks at scale.
• Deploy continuous monitoring, guardrails, and auto-remediation across cloud environments.
