Job summary

Faculty is seeking a Principal Research Scientist for AI Safety to drive the research agenda around large language models and safe AI systems. You will lead researchers, publish influential work, and ensure alignment with Faculty’s commercial goals to deliver trustworthy AI.

You will shape the research roadmap, oversee projects, and collaborate on evaluations and red-teaming in high-risk areas like cybersecurity and national security—ultimately positioning Faculty as a leader in AI safety.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in high-impact AI research via publications or equivalent experience.
• Deep knowledge of language models and AI safety.
• Ability to lead complex technical research projects with strong judgment and direction.
• Programming proficiency (Python, data science stack).
• Excellent verbal and written communication for diverse audiences.
