Job summary

Candour Solutions is seeking a hands-on Data Platform Lead to drive a centralised data warehouse and modern reporting capability using Microsoft Fabric. The role spans discovery, architecture design, implementation, documentation and knowledge transfer.

You will own end-to-end delivery, build automated ETL/ELT pipelines, improve data quality and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance Power BI capabilities across the organisation. Hybrid UK-based engagement, start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering production data platforms using Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong hands-on experience with Fabric Data Factory.
• Experience designing and implementing data warehouse or lakehouse solutions.
• Advanced SQL and data modelling expertise.
• Experience integrating SaaS applications via REST APIs, database connectors and file-based ingestion.
• Experience building and optimising automated ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience designing data models and semantic models for Power BI.
• Experience implementing data security, access controls and deployment frameworks.
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of a Microsoft Fabric data platform.
• Design and implement scalable data warehouse/lakehouse architecture.
• Build and optimise automated data pipelines from APIs, databases, SaaS platforms and file-based sources.
• Replace manual reporting processes with robust, governed ETL/ELT solutions.
• Develop data models to support operational, commercial and financial reporting.
• Improve data quality, governance, security and access controls.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance reporting and Power BI capabilities.
• Implement monitoring, logging and recovery processes to ensure platform reliability.
• Support future integrations and AI-driven analytics initiatives.
• Produce technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams
