Job summary

Saga is seeking a Lead Data Engineer in Folkestone, hybrid working arrangement, for an initial 8-month FTC with potential to perm. You will shape how Saga Travel uses data to enable better decision making, customer insights and exceptional experiences across Holidays and Cruises.

You will build a new, governed Snowflake-based data platform, ingesting, transforming and serving data, while setting engineering standards and guiding a team.

Qualifications

• Proven data engineering experience building production pipelines on Snowflake
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
• Advanced SQL with complex transformation logic and data modelling

Responsibilities

• Lead Saga Travel data engineering team and drive delivery
• Design, build and test dbt models across the Travel Snowflake platform
• Own end-to-end Travel DW stack, standards and CI/CD pipeline
• Collaborate with partners and Saga Group teams to ship changes
• Establish monitoring, data quality checks and masking policies
