Job summary

Saga Travel is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to shape the data platform for Holidays and Cruise businesses. You’ll own the end-to-end Data Warehouse on Snowflake, partnering with an implementation partner and Saga Group teams.

You will mentor a Data Engineer and drive technical excellence across the engineering discipline. As the platform matures, you’ll unlock AI-enabled capabilities and governance, while delivering robust data pipelines from ingestion to serving.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data engineering with hands-on data pipelines in a cloud platform.
• Strong leadership and people-management capabilities.
• Advanced SQL skills and data modelling for transformation layers.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior technical resource on Travel Data Warehouse build.
• Lead and develop the Travel data engineering team.
• Design, build and test dbt models across Snowflake layers.
