Job summary

Standard Life plc seeks a Data Solutions Lead to shape the target state for data platforms in a data transformation journey. You will design end-to-end data solutions with ingestion, transformation and modeling across Databricks, Azure and AWS, collaborating with architects, engineers and analysts to empower AI and analytics capabilities.

The role requires strong communication skills to present complex solutions to non-technical audiences and deliver governance in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Architect covering conceptual, logical and physical modelling and implementation of data models including 3NF, Dimensional and Data Vault.
• Cloud-hosted data platforms design with Azure/Databricks; understanding data warehouses, data lakes and lakehouse architectures including ETL/ELT patterns.
• Excellent documentation and diagramming, able to tailor details to audience and present to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design of data solutions including ingestion, transformation and data models with emphasis on Databricks, Azure and AWS.
• Collaborate with solution architects, data platform owners, data engineers and analysts to ensure seamless data, AI and analytics capabilities for digital customer ambitions.
• Present complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences and ensure governance and risk management in regulated environments.
