Salary: Paid on Support Staff Salary Scale Points 25-29 (£30,443 - £33,373)
About the Role:
We are seeking to appoint a proactive and organised Lead Cover Supervisor to oversee the delivery of high-quality lesson cover and coordinate staff deployment for planned and unplanned absences.
The successful candidate will maintain consistency and continuity in students’ learning by managing a team of Cover Supervisors, liaising with internal staff and external supply agencies, and organizing daily and long-term cover arrangements. You will be the first point of contact for staff absence reporting, maintain accurate records using SIMS, and ensure efficient allocation of cover each morning.
Additionally, you will act as a Cover Supervisor when required, supervising classes and delivering pre-planned activities in the absence of the class teacher. You will also support SEND or pastoral teams when not on cover, offering further development opportunities in these areas.
