This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced English teacher looking to make the next step into senior leadership while continuing to develop their subject specialism at a high-performing academy.
As Lead Practitioner, you will be a key part of the English department and the Extended Senior Leadership Team, enhancing teaching and learning both within English and across the Academy. You will lead by example, supporting colleagues through effective and high-quality professional development, and embedding a culture of continual improvement and excellence.
You will also provide expert guidance based on the best available educational research, focusing on what teachers need to know and understand, and how to implement this within the classroom to improve student outcomes.
We are looking for an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record of success in teaching English. The ideal candidate will bring personal skills and qualities that align with an already established positive, hardworking and committed team. You will be fully committed to the Academy’s vision and ethos and be prepared to continue your own professional development. With a demonstrable record of good or outstanding results, you will have a commitment to raising aspirations and achievement, supporting the wider academy community.
We currently have two posts available for this role. One at Wingfield Academy and the other at Brinsworth Academy.
If you are an exceptional teacher with a passion for English, looking to make a significant impact on the quality of teaching and learning at the Academy, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
