A leading school in Nottingham is seeking a lead cover supervisor to ensure students receive a high-quality learning experience during teacher absences. This permanent, full-time role involves managing cover requirements, supervising students, and fostering a supportive environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' educational journeys.
Our lead cover supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that students have a high-quality learning experience when their usual teacher is away from school.
You will manage the cover requirements to ensure that students' learning is uninterrupted by staff absence, manage classroom behaviour to keep pupils on task, and facilitate activities designed by teaching staff to ensure effective learning environments.

This role offers the opportunity to lead lessons in the absence of the regular teacher, primarily for KS3 and KS4 students, with occasional work at KS5. You’ll also have the chance to contribute more broadly across the Academy.
You will ensure high standards of lesson cover and are expected to eventually line manage a team of Cover Supervisors.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 37 hours per week, on a term-time only basis.
