Job summary

UK Management College is seeking a Lead Conversion Officer to join the Marketing & Student Recruitment team. You will own the lead journey from enquiry to application, providing timely, professional support across channels to maximise conversion.

The role is office-based in Openshaw, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, reporting to the Marketing / Student Recruitment Manager. Experience in CRM and education recruitment is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, customer service, recruitment, admissions or similar customer-facing roles.
  • Experience handling telephone enquiries and outbound calls.
  • Experience using HubSpot or other CRM/lead management systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust quickly.
  • Strong organisation and follow-up skills.
  • Experience working towards targets and measurable outcomes.
  • Attention to detail and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Manage prospective student leads from initial enquiry through to application and, where applicable, enrolment.
  • Respond promptly to new enquiries and conduct outbound calls to prospective students.
  • Understand prospective students' interests, circumstances, career ambitions, and educational goals.
  • Provide clear information regarding UKMC programmes, entry requirements, funding options, study modes, and the application process.
  • Build rapport and trust with prospective students while promoting UKMC benefits.
  • Guide prospective students through the application process and required documentation.
  • Maintain regular follow-up with prospective students throughout the recruitment journey.
  • Re-engage prospective students who have become inactive or have not completed their application.
  • Work towards agreed lead, application, and enrolment targets.
  • Maintain consistent communication via phone, email, WhatsApp and other channels.
  • Support lead nurturing campaigns for different audiences and intakes.
  • Follow up on leads generated through marketing campaigns, events and outreach.
  • Maintain up-to-date records within HubSpot and other CRM systems.
  • Produce accurate records and reports to support recruitment and conversion.

The Role

The Lead Conversion Officer plays a vital role within the Marketing & Student Recruitment team, managing and converting prospective student leads generated through UKMC's marketing and recruitment activities. The postholder will take ownership of the lead journey from initial enquiry through to application, ensuring prospective students receive timely, relevant, and professional support throughout the process.

This role requires a confident, proactive, and results-driven individual who can build strong relationships with prospective students, handle inbound and outbound communications, and maximise conversion opportunities through effective engagement across multiple communication channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage prospective student leads from initial enquiry through to application and, where applicable, enrolment.

  • Monitor lead pipelines and ensure follow-up activities are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Produce accurate records and reports to support recruitment and conversion activities.
Knowledge & Experience
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, recruitment, admissions, business development, or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Experience handling telephone enquiries and conducting outbound calls.
  • Experience using HubSpot or other CRM and lead management systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust quickly.
  • Strong organisation and follow-up skills.
  • Experience working towards targets and measurable outcomes.
  • Good attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications and communication systems.
  • Experience within higher education, further education, or student recruitment would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of UK higher education and student recruitment processes is desirable.
