Job summary

Fawkes & Reece, a leading civils, concrete and groundworks contractor, is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects across the UK. The role covers pre-construction through handover, with responsibilities including managing project teams, client and stakeholder liaison, and driving safety and commercial performance.

The position offers flexible working arrangements, mileage reimbursement, and long-term progression within a supportive leadership team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Contracts Manager in civils, groundworks or reinforced concrete.
• Strong knowledge of drainage, infrastructure and enabling works.
• Experience delivering commercial and data centre projects.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management.
• Commercial awareness and contract knowledge.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience leading civils or contracting businesses.
• Experience delivering large-scale RC or enabling works.
• Strong pre-construction knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple live civils and groundworks projects.
• Lead Project Managers, Site Managers and delivery teams.
• Work with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Review programmes and project performance.
• Drive health and safety standards across sites.
• Manage project budgets and commercial performance.
• Support pre-construction activities and tender reviews.
• Identify operational improvements and efficiencies.
• Provide regular reports to MD.
