Job summary

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to lead the newly established Oxford City Assertive Outreach Team in Oxford. The post requires full GMC registration and eligibility for Specialist Register or within six months of CCT.

You will deliver intensive community care for adults with severe mental health disorders, with a focus on recovery, risk management and collaboration with partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching resident doctors and medical students.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to teach, supervise and mentor staff at all levels within psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and medical input to the team delivering community mental health services.
• Deliver evidence-based bio-psycho-social interventions to promote recovery and social inclusion.
• Supervise and be responsible for patients under your care and those under supervision of medical staff.
• Lead clinical governance and engage with other mental health teams to ensure continuity of care.
