Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to lead the Assertive Outreach service across Slough and Reading. You will manage a 60-patient AO caseload and work with NHS and VCSE colleagues to deliver innovative community care.

The role emphasizes clinical leadership, adherence to best-practice guidelines, and the Responsible Clinician duty within a supportive, high-quality trust known for outstanding CQC ratings.

Qualifications

• Fully registered with the GMC to practise at appointment.
• Either Specialist Register or eligibility within six months.
• Approved Clinician status or confirmation within three months.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical management of AO patients as Responsible Clinician.
• Case manage a cohort across Reading and Slough with MDT input.
• Coordinate with NHS and VCSE colleagues to deliver care.
