Job summary

Oxford Health NHS Trust invites applications for a full-time consultant psychiatrist to lead the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team. The post involves overseeing clinical care for adults in crisis, directing assessments and home treatment, and gatekeeping admissions to beds.

You will work within a MDT, coordinate with inpatient wards, police and primary care, and provide brief evidence-based psychosocial interventions. NHS leadership and senior medical input are essential.

Qualifications

• Medical degree required and full GMC registration.
• Experience in CRHT/acute mental health care is essential.
• Understanding of Mental Health Act and liaison with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior medical input and clinical leadership to the CRHTT.
• Take responsibility for own patients and those seen by supervised staff.
• Diagnose and manage working-age adults and older adults at risk of mental health crisis.
