Job summary

TEKEVER in the UK is seeking a composite manufacturing engineer to own and develop aerospace manufacturing capabilities, focusing on hand lay-up, pre-preg processing, trimming, finishing and bonded composite structures.

You will lead process transfer, drive capability improvements, reduce scrap and improve throughput while working with Operations, Design and Quality teams to maintain repeatable production. A strong background in aerospace manufacturing is essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in composite manufacturing within a production environment.
• Hands-on experience with hand lay-up and pre-preg composite processes.
• Experience with trimming, finishing, drilling and/or bonding.
• Strong understanding of defects, process variation and root-cause investigation.
• Experience working with operators and technicians to improve processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and documentation, in quality environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document and continuously improve composite manufacturing processes from material preparation through to finished components.
• Support hand lay-up and pre-preg manufacturing, including material handling and curing processes.
• Develop robust processes for trimming, finishing, drilling, bonding and assembly.
• Collaborate with operators to understand variation and drive repeatability.
• Transfer proven processes into the UK operation and establish production-ready methods.
• Provide input on tooling, moulds, jigs and fixtures and contribute to DfMA.
