Job summary

Electus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Composite Production Manager to lead end-to-end production of UAV airframes. You will oversee tooling readiness, material planning and coordination with engineering, supply chain and quality teams across UK and Europe.

The role focuses on hands-on composite process mastery, leading external manufacturers, and delivering high-quality airframes on schedule in a defence/aerospace context.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in advanced composite manufacturing.
• Strong technical understanding of composites processes.
• Ability to manage external subcontract manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end production of composite UAV airframes.
• Coordinate multiple composite components and assemblies to meet aircraft build requirements.
• Manage specialist composite subcontractors across UK/Europe.
• Ensure mould tools, jigs and fixtures are production-ready.
• Coordinate raw material availability with schedules.
• Monitor lay-up, cure, and post-cure processes.
• Oversee trimming, drilling, machining and finishing operations.
• Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Improve yield, cycle times, and supplier performance.
