Job summary

Tekever UK Swindon Site is recruiting a leader to build and run a new composites manufacturing cell for drone airframes. You will design the facility, recruit the team, and drive toward the required production rate while coordinating with our European plant network.

You will own lay-up processes, material control and inspection regimes, delivering safe, compliant operations with continuous improvement across the line.

Qualifications

• Experience in composites manufacture — aerospace or related sectors.
• Practical hands-on wet lay-up and pre-preg lay-up experience.
• Experience building a new manufacturing cell including layout and ramp to rate.
• Shop-floor trimming and finishing knowledge.
• Track record recruiting and retaining a shop-floor team.
• Solid understanding of quality systems, documentation and material traceability.
• Lean, 5S, standard work, structured problem-solving experience.
• Confidence with ERP/MES systems and shop-floor data.

Responsibilities

• Outline the space allocation and factory footprint for composites manufacture — layout and workflow.
• Source and commission equipment, tooling and fixtures to hit target rate.
• Plan physical build-out in phases aligned to ramp and milestones.
• Benchmark across Europe and translate proven layouts and processes.
• Own laminate schedules, resin systems, fibre and core materials.
• Recruit, build and lead the composites unit manufacturing team.
