Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Lead Midwife to take on a 24-hour rotational clinical leadership role within the maternity service at Southend Hospital. You will guide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to sustain high standards of care.

You will lead, support, and develop the team under the Maternity Matron/Head of Midwifery, ensuring alignment with national standards and local strategies.

Qualifications

• Registered midwife with UK registration and current practice.
• Post-registration experience at senior/managerial level.
• Knowledge of national initiatives impacting maternity services.
• Band 6 experience or equivalent leadership exposure.

Responsabilités

• Have 24-hour rotational clinical responsibility for the Maternity service and provide expert guidance to the multidisciplinary team.
• Lead and support the Maternity Matron/Head of Midwifery and contribute to service development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote maternal and neonatal health in line with standards.
