North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Lead Midwife for the 24-hour ward in the WCH delivery suite. This internal fixed-term post requires strong clinical leadership and a track record in midwifery across antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.

You will lead the maternity unit, develop services, mentor staff, and work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality care while implementing national maternity improvements.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with current registration.
• Postgraduate diploma in midwifery or equivalent.
• Foundation management certificate or equivalent.
• IT skills (EITS) or equivalent.
• Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics or equivalent.
• Postgraduate management certificate or equivalent.
• Teaching certificate or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Lead midwife to provide specialist antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care.
• Develop and maintain high standards of clinical care in the maternity unit.
• Manage day-to-day operations and coordinate on a rotational basis.
