Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a permanent Labour Ward Manager to lead the Labour Ward at Southend University Hospital, overseeing the entire maternity service with a focus on clinical excellence, leadership and professionalism.

You will design and implement antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care programmes, while guiding a multidisciplinary team and providing strong leadership to the Maternity Matron/Head of Midwifery."

Qualifications

• Evidence of leadership development at a senior level.
• Must have worked in delivery suite environment.
• Registered with NMC and hold a valid PIN.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Central Delivery Suite (CDS) with clinical leadership.
• Rotate to other clinical areas as required and participate in on-call roster.
• Lead development and publication of auditable standards for maternity care.
• Provide support to Maternity Matron/Head of Midwifery and staff.
