Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide sound clinical, professional, educational and managerial leadership to midwives and support staff within the community setting.
• Provide visible leadership to enable staff to deliver high-quality care.
• Undertake direct line management and staff development.
• Act as a positive professional role model and promote professional standards.
• Ensure community services are properly staffed and address skill mix gaps.
• Organise midwifery caseloads in collaboration with the Community Matron.
• Promote safe, compassionate, evidenced-based maternity care across care settings.
