Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead the Midlands region's commercial performance across multiple social housing refurbishment projects in occupied environments. You will guide a team of surveyors and collaborate with clients, suppliers, and operations to protect profitability and value.

You will manage forecasts, CVRs, cash flow, and procurement strategies while driving commercial standards and risk management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to step up.
• Experience of refurbishment projects in occupied/live environments is essential; social housing experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of CVRs, forecasting, cash flow, contract administration and commercial risk.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a valid UK driving licence are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial performance of the Midlands sub-region across multiple contracts.
• Manage regional forecasting, projections and commercial reporting.
• Oversee monthly CVR processes for sub-regional contracts with accuracy and challenge.
• Monitor budgets, profitability, risk, and opportunity; report material changes.
• Prepare and monitor cash flows and maintain robust commercial controls.
• Oversee payment applications, invoicing, valuations, and timely receipts.
