Build Recruitment Limited seeks two experienced Mechanical Site Managers to lead commercial mechanical installations on major London projects at Euston and Canary Wharf. You will manage subcontractors and labour, coordinate with engineers and clients, and ensure delivery to programme and RAMS standards.

The role requires proven commercial building services experience, SMSTS and strong on-site leadership to drive safety, quality and efficiency across site teams.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial mechanical building services experience — essential.
• Several years' experience with a mechanical subcontractor in commercial construction.
• Experience managing on-site mechanical installation projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial mechanical systems, pipework and plant installation.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, engineers and site labour.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and keep progress against programme.
• Good knowledge of health and safety, RAMS and site compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and resolve on-site issues.
• Strong communication, organisational and client-facing skills.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day commercial mechanical installation activities on site.
• Coordinate subcontractors, labour and site-based engineering teams.
• Supervise mechanical services installation including pipework, plant rooms, heating and ventilation.
• Work with project managers, engineers, clients and other trades to align site activities.
• Monitor progress against programme and report updates to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with RAMS and site safety requirements.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and installation quality.
• Review drawings, identify issues and resolve site queries.
• Manage snagging and support testing, commissioning and completion of works.
• Maintain accurate site records and support variation management.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams.
