Job summary

Recserv Ltd. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager for busy commercial projects across Central London. The role is hands-on, staying on site with fitters, directing work, and keeping several jobs moving at once.

You will have a background in pipefitting or plumbing and lead a small site team through daily challenges on diverse sites. Ideal candidates will have strong on-site decision-making, SMSTS, CSCS, and IT skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on background in pipe fitting or plumbing, now in supervision or site management.
• Experience with 4 pipe FCU, ventilation, VRF and commercial plumbing installations.
• Experience managing multiple sites concurrently.
• SMSTS and a valid CSCS card.
• Good IT skills; laptop provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage several commercial mechanical projects in Central London, moving between sites.
• Direct and supervise fitters and labour on site day to day.
• Make on-site decisions and resolve problems as they arise.
• Plan ahead to keep jobs on programme.
• Order materials and coordinate deliveries.
• Liaise with clients, main contractors and other trades.
• Oversee quality, health and safety and site compliance.
• Projects range from smaller works up to around £1m.

Mechanical Site Manager - Commercial Projects - Central London

Our client requires a hands-on Mechanical Site Manager to join their growing team, running a number of commercial mechanical services projects across Central London.

This is a role for someone who likes being on site, not behind a desk. Our client is a small, close-knit mechanical contractor, so you'll be working directly with the fitters, directing the work, making the calls on site and keeping several jobs moving at once. If you came up through the tools and still enjoy being in amongst it, this Mechanical Site Manager position will suit you.

The Role:

• Managing several commercial mechanical projects at the same time, moving between sites across Central London
• Directing and supervising fitters and labour on site day to day
• Making on-site decisions and dealing with problems as they arise
• Planning ahead to keep jobs on programme
• Ordering materials and coordinating deliveries
• Liaising with clients, main contractors and other trades
• Overseeing quality, health and safety and site compliance
• Projects range from smaller works up to around 1m

The Ideal Mechanical Site Manager Will Have:

• A mechanical trade background as a pipe fitter or plumber, now working in supervision or site management
• Hands‑on experience of 4 pipe FCU, ventilation, VRF and commercial plumbing installations
• Experience running more than one site at a time
• A practical, proactive approach and the confidence to lead a site team
• SMSTS and a valid CSCS card
• Good IT skills (laptop provided)
• Experience with a smaller contractor would be a real advantage
