Job summary

Winthrop Technologies is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager for a high-value data centre project near Blyth, UK. You will lead the commercial team, drive cost control, and manage procurement to deliver on budget and schedule.

You will produce monthly cost reports and cash flows while coordinating with internal stakeholders. The role reports to the Regional Commercial Manager and requires a strong track record in main contractor environments and data centre projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in commercial management for major construction projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent numeracy and problem solving abilities.
• Experience with main contractor environments.
• Knowledge of lump sum, remeasure, 2-stage/open book, design-build procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the commercial team in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Implement robust cost controls and monthly cost reports.
• Prepare cash flows and other financial management reports.
• Plan procurement to meet timelines, scope and budget.
• Maintain relationships with client teams and supply chain.
• Ensure commercial documentation is complete and protected.
