Job summary

Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Lead Colposcopy Nurse to lead and develop the Colposcopy service within the Women’s Health Team. You will manage an advanced clinical caseload and act as CSPL lead, driving quality, workforce development and safe, evidence-based cervical screening across UHD.

Qualifications

• BSSCP-certified Colposcopist with advanced clinical practice skills.
• Extensive experience in gynaecology and colposcopy services.
• Passion for service innovation and patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert autonomous colposcopy assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up for women referred to the service.
• Be the CSPL lead for the colposcopy service at UHD.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Colposcopy Service across UHD.
• Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing staff and wider MDTs to ensure safe, effective pathways.
• Lead clinical governance, audit and service evaluation activities.
• Support education, supervision and development of nursing and medical colleagues.
