Job summary

Proftech Talent is seeking an experienced Lead CNC Programmer & Technical Mentor in Solihull. The role combines advanced CNC Milling programming, setting and operation with mentoring apprentices, supporting their practical engineering development.

Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, you will ensure high-quality components, troubleshoot issues, and uphold safety and quality standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC Milling Programmer, Setter & Operator.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and specs.
• Experience mentoring apprentices or trainees.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC Milling machines to spec.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Supervise trainee setups and mentor apprentices.
• Mentor and coach apprentices, transferring technical knowledge.
• Set and operate manual machinery and tools.
• Promote safe working practices and 6S standards.
