Ernest Gordon Recruitment are partnering with a Dartford-based manufacturer to recruit a Lead CNC Miller (3-Axis / Heidenhain / CADCAM). This hands-on leadership role offers overtime, progression, and strong company backing in a modern facility.

You will set, operate and program 3-axis CNC milling machines, including CADCAM, while collaborating with the Engineering Manager to balance workloads and mentor junior staff. Previous experience with Heidenhain controls is advantageous.

• Experience in a similar role.
• Ability to program CADCAM (advantageous).
• Experience with Heidenhain controls is beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Set, operate and programme 3-axis CNC milling machines, including CADCAM programming when required.
• Coordinate workloads with the Engineering Manager and assist with production scheduling.
• Mentor and develop junior machining staff and share knowledge.
• Identify and implement improvements to machining methods and tooling to increase productivity.

On offer is a role with a company that has been trading for over three decades and enjoys consistent stability and steady growth, now owning three 10,000-square-foot factories. As an Investor in People, they have built a dedicated team from new apprentices to time-served individuals, all working together in modern facilities to produce high-quality components.

This role will see the successful candidate operate a range of 3-axis CNC machines to produce precise components for the Aerospace industry. This will include CADCAM programming and close liaison with the Engineering Manager.

Previous experience within a similar working environment is essential, and the ability to programme or previous experience with Heidenhain controls is advantageous.

The Role:

• Set, operate and programme 3-axis CNC milling machines, including CADCAM programming when required.
• Work closely with the Engineering Manager to coordinate workloads, assist with production scheduling, and prioritise jobs
• Support, mentor and develop younger members of the machining team, sharing knowledge and improving technical skills.
• Identify and implement improvements to machining methods, programming strategies, tooling, and work holding to increase productivity

The Person:

• Proven experience with a similar role
• Use of Heidenhain Controls is advantageous
